The draft resolution on Armenian Genocide was
introduced into Bulgarian Parliament. NEWS.am posts unofficial
translation of the motion to be considered next week.

The genocide against Armenian people is one of the most portentous
crimes against humanity in the modern history. In order to realize the
full depth of the massacres perpetrated against Armenian people by
Turkish authorities in the beginning of the 20th century, it should be
taken into account that in essence, it is an ill-veiled, but
goal-directed policy aiming at the extermination of Armenian ethnos
within the bounds of its historical residence-from Ararat to Anatolia.
Turkish Government intended to place numerous Muslim refugees from
Balkans there.

In this respect, the seemingly unrelated acts of violence against
Armenians from 1915-1917 were a carefully thought up plan by Turkish
authorities meant to displacement of Armenians with escort convoy, the
committed slaughter and torture both by regular troops and desperados,
including pogroms, raping, robbery, dispossession of land and property
of the peaceful Armenian population. This is a system of physical,
economic and moral destruction of Armenian ethnos killing over one and
a half million Armenians within several months.

Based on the mentioned facts, National Assembly of the Republic of
Bulgaria, admitting the cogency of the facts proving the committed
extermination of 1.500.000 Armenians by Ottoman Empire authorities in
1915-17, considering the violence against Armenians during the World
War I is recognized by the European Parliament and a number of EU
members-Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland,
Slovakia, France as genocide, condemning the genocide of the Armenian
population,

Declares:

1. Expresses its dissent with official position of Turkish Government,
directed towards the negation of the purposive violence against
Armenian nation committed in 1915-1917.

2. Urges the Republic of Turkey to review its stance on the historic
reality during the World War I

3. Term the forcible displacement-

the extermination of the Armenian
people under Ottoman Empire as Genocide

4. Announces the necessity of mandatory unbiased reporting of the
historical events indicated in the documents, publications, public
addresses of all state institutions, political organizations, mass
media of the Republic of Bulgaria.

5. Admits that protection of monuments of Bulgarian and Armenian
architectural-religious heritage on the territory of Turkey should be
considered as part of a broader policy of preservation of cultural
heritage of European civilization.

6. Demands that in the course of the talks on Turkey’s membership to
EU, the stance of Bulgarian Government be conditioned by the
recognition of Armenian Genocide by Turkey.

Who else is left? Now Bulgaria? Since when they forgotten how they were changing the names of the Turks forcefully? That was almost yesterday. Where was the civilized west then? I do not recall anyone complaining at all. The time is already passing for the Turks to wake up, get together and evaluate these unfairness’s.

  3. mok10501 and since when did you forget the Greek,Armenian,Bulgarian,Assyrian and Kurd genocides that you people are responsible for?Unfairness? No,this is justice, and you won’t escape from your crimes!

    Hey ASD:

KMA! Over 2.5 million innocent lives (Moslem and non-Moslem) were lost as a result of dashnak Armenian actions before, during and after WWI! These include 518,000 Turks. A total of 2.5 million Turks, Greeks [yes, even Greeks], Laz, Kurds, Persians, Cirrcarians, Azeris, Arabs, non-dashnak Armenians, Tartars, Georgians and Jews died because of them! Christian Bulgarians have subjugated Moslem Turks in that country for decades! The Olympic weight-lifter during the 1988 games in Seoul, Korea was a Turk who used to live in Bulgaria. The name he was forced to have there was Suleimanov. When he left Bulgaria and the Bulgarian team, he came to his true Motherland Turkey, and joined the Turkish team (he also changed his name back to its correct form, Suleimanoglu)! And the Bulgarians committed mass atrocities themselves, as did the Greeks, and especially the Greek-Cypriots, against Turks and other Moslems! As for the Kurds, the PKK is a recognized terroist group taht has been responsible for the deaths of almost 35,000 innocent people in Southern Turkey. They are armed and trained in Lebanon and Syria by dashnak Armenians and Greeks! So do not dare to come here and make stupid comments until you have learned something about history and reality! That way, you won’t look like the total idiot that you do now!!

    Let’s see.

The Ottoman Empire declared war on the Russians and their allies, all in the idiotic hope of grabbing the Caucasus, an anticipation of equally mad dreams one generation later at Stalingrad, but I digress.

Overall, Ottoman forces lost about 770,000. men, many of whom were Christian Greeks, Assyrians and Pontians, not to mention Armenians. About 2M civilians perished, the majority of whom were Christian.

But suddenly the parrot announces that Armenians killed millions of Turks. Let’s unpack this important if hollow plank of the T denialist platform, shall we?

In order to kill even scores of thousands of villager civilians, a military force must assemble them, march them unopposed down roads they control, and herd them to killing areas, preferably concentration camps or isolated areas. The Armenians lacked any central military forces, did not control the roads, and lacked the military ability to prevent the inhabitants of one village from escape. Please read the analysis of this question by Halil Berktay. By the way, he’s Turkish.

There are of course no accounts of Armenians doing this in 1915, but there are hundreds of accounts of Ottoman forces herding and killing Armenians in this fashion.

And Berktay has company: Selim Derengil, Fikret Adanir, Umit Ungor, Ykyan Turkyilmaz, Taner Akcam, and more.

    JDA,

As usual, your stupidity preceeds you! First of all, at what point did I say that Armenian killed “millions of Turks” in my post above? I believe that I mentioned the figure of 518,000! What’s the matter JDA, having to revert back to the good old dashnka Armenian slight of hand smoke and mirrors play (the same one that’s been in use by your dashnka brethren for over 95 years) because you’re cornered by the truth yet once again?

There were numerous dashnak Armo units, armed by the Russians, French and the British. They did indeed begin their genocides by slaughtering their own Armenian villages when the villagers refused to cooperate with Andronik, Dro, etc to send their young men with these units to murder innocent moslems. When refused to help, the rebellious dashnak units massacred THIER OWN PEOPLE! In Van, over 20,000 Turks were massacred within two days (from diaries of Russian officers now archived, as well as captured dashnak Armo butchers). My paternal granfather and granduncle were one of the few survivors of the genocide committed against the Turks by the Armenians there! They watched helpkessky as their families, friends, neighbors were herded into the mosques, locked in and then set fire to (they were burned alive). They saw how hundreds were taken by boats into the middle of Van Lake and then thrown over to drown! Fortunately, my grandfather and the few survivors were able to carefully document the entire events (which are also archived). When the historical commission convenes and examines ALL of the archived documents in the world, these documents will also be examined. There are numerous books (written by non-Turks!) which details many of these atrocities in Erzurum, Erzincan, Kars, etc. committed by dashnaks Armo (there are even some from Armenians who participated in the genocides via their captured diaries). So, as even you can now see, you’ve been shown to be wrong yet once again! But hey, keep those ridiculous comments coming in! It gives us all a good chuckle (you’re our favorite clown).

As is typical of you (and dashnak Armos in general), you make several statements but always end up with egg on your face. You sure are a glutton for punishment, aren’t you! I agree with you in that there is a main group of denialists out there, and they’re known as DASHNAK ARMENIANS!!! Your own first PM wrote his manifesto admitting to the atrocities committed by dashnaks. After 1924, his manifesto book disappeared from all of the schools and libraries shelfs in Armenia. To this day, his book is banned in that country! Of course, my personal favorites are the falsified and forged documents that ANCA and the dashnaks keep touting around as “factual”! I love their altered photographs of originals where they use PhotoShop. In fact, there’s the infamous one showing Ataturk sitting on a chair in a patio, with his foot supposedly on the body of a dead person (the dashnaks say the body is of an Armo child). The real photo was found in the archives and does indeed show Ataturk sitting in a chair in a patio. However, there is no dead body on the ground. Instead, he’s surrounded by four puppy dogs! Can you say BUSTED?!!! How you shamelessly insist on keeping on showing your face on this site is amazing. But what more can be expected from a dashnak?
