SYRIA ISSUE: LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMP AND FOX NEWS FROM TURKISH FORUM ADVISORY BOARD

    SURIYE SORUNU…

    BASKAN TRUMP VE FOX NEWS’A

    TURKISH FORUM-DUNYA TURKLERI BIRLIGI

    DANISMA KURULUNDAN BIR MESAJ

    To: Fox News … October 10, 2019
To: President D.J. Trump, Pres. USA
From: Dr. Robert B. McKay,  robtmckay @msn.com

Advisor to Turkish Forum & Dr. Kayaalp Buyukataman, Founder/ President of Turkish Forum.

    Fox News:

FNWHD Hemmer/Smith constantly states “Turkey Attacking U.S. Ally”, However, it is Turkey who has been the longest and best ally of the USA, not the Kurds:

Turkey is our partner. The Kurdish PKK has been declared a terrorist organization

by the United Nations and has killed over 30,000 Turks. Kurds have done little to help

the USA compared to Turkey. Kurdish interests are self serving for territorial gain.

Turkish troops in Korea …. provided troops in the Korean conflict: The Turks stayed

behind and took the loses for our men to escape. Turkey was our greatest ally in the

Cold War against Russia; Submarine monitoring of Russia from the Black Sea, the

U-2 airplane kept at the Incirlik Air Base near Adana, our spy stations in Samsun our

nuclear capabilities for quick strikes against Russia and/or China and our air bases

    in Turkey.

It is foolish, and irresponsible for Fox News not to recognize Turkey as our long

time friend. Furthermore, Turkey, like the USA has an OBLIGATION to protect its

national and territorial interests…which for many decades have been under Kurdish

    attack!!!

Characterizing Turkey as an enemy (by omission of facts) can only make Turkey

seek other friends or, at the least create further friction in a part of the world where

    more came is needed.

Recent guests on Fox News, who are intelligent people but who do not exhibit a

strong historical knowledge of Turkey’s role have included Niki Haley, General

Pittard and retired Major General Malcolm Frost.

Sarah Sanders has been the first person on Fox to correctly acknowledge the

difficulties when two of our friends are having a dispute between themselves.

We will see Turkey solve the problem of Kurdish terrorism, for the sole reason

of protecting itself from attack: as President Trump has correctly forecast.

Most importantly thousands of Kurds, even today live peacefully in Turkey. This

peace will continue when the nationalistic Kurds of Syria give up their attempt to

annex parts of Eastern Turkey to create a new expanded Kurdish State.

Since the time of Ataturk after WWI Turkey has never had territorial aspirations..

except to live in their own homes—in peace: nothing has changed-except Turkey is

housing three and one half million (3.5 m) refugees displaced by the U.S. war on ISIS.

    A note from TF-WTC President;

NATO Ally of the Republic of Turkey Battles Terrorist , Not Kurds.

Turkey is not and has not been against the Kurdish people. Such smear campaigns have only become another weapon in the international platform to delegitimize Turkey. The fact of the matter is Turkey is against terrorist organization like the Marxist–Leninist communist PKK, YPG and ISIS who are walking around freely in Syria / Iraq with guns, missiles pointed at Turkey.

What would Israel do ? ,

What would US do ? ,

What would any government do? to protect it’s national interest and national security ?

I thank The State of  Hungary and The State of Spain for not signing EU declaration against Turkish Actions to protect its citizens and national security and I hope many other nations will join them this week.

Legitimizing Terrorists Whitewash the PKK / YPG as a “Good Kurds,”

How is it that any American can feel good about arming and training a Marxist Leninist communist terrorist organization with American Tax money ?

It is extremely disturbing to read an articles and ones who are sympathetic toward one of the world’s most infamous and deadly terrorist groups, the PKK /YPG . Articles have been floated to serve as a propaganda instrument for the PKK and YPG , which is declared a terrorist organization by not only by the United States but the European Union and others.

PKK / YPG terrorist , are portrayed in many articles as humane fighters in an epic struggle against ISIS , The truth is the group has has committed acts of brutal terror that have cost the lives of tens of thousands of Turkish citizens, Syrian Citizens and Araps , among them teachers, engineers, villagers, women and children.
Articles begin floated declaring Turkey in attacking Kurds in Syria, Do not speak the truth on was is taking place on the ground but are only Fake News with ones who have an alternative motives . There is now the tendency of depicting PKK/ YPG as if they represent the Kurds as glorious heroes, given how they have been portrayed in our media in the fight against ISIS, turning a blind eye to the Kurds own excesses, and as victims, given the negative image of the Turks in our media. Kurdish-Turks are often portrayed as suffering from discrimination or oppression, which seeks to explain or partly justify the PKK /YPG , when the reality is Turkey’s Kurds are equal under the Turkish Constitution and regional Kurds reject the PKK/ YPG . How is it that any American can feel good about arming and training a Marxist Leninist communist terrorist organization with American Tax money ?

Articles may choose to whitewash the PKK / YPG as a “militant group,” but our country, Israel and others have designated the PKK /YPG as a terrorist group. Notice how our prior Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter confirmed not only the YPG’s ties to the PKK, but the PKK’s terrorist nature, 45 seconds into 2016’s “Graham: ‘Hope is not a strategy’”

Turkeys current cross border Operation peace spring Battles Terrorist , Not Kurds. Turkey has taken step to protect her National interest against a terrorist organization Marxist–Leninist communist PKK, YPG and ISIS who are walking around freely in Syria / Iraq with guns, missiles pointed at Turkey.
Kurdish PKK/ YPG finding shelter in Northern Syria or Northern Iraq and the ones who harbor or to continue to legitimizing Terrorists or whitewash the PKK / YPG as a “Good Kurds,” whether their support is active or passive is irrelevant, for there are no acceptable levels of support for terror. Nor is it responsible to undercut the security of a long-term NATO ally like Turkey. Until all terrorist are expelled from Turkeys broader the fight against terror will continue. As I always ask ?

What would Israel do? What would any government do? to protect it’s national interest and national security?

Trump & Powell should leave interest rates alone

    Kimden: Richard DeGraff ][email protected]]

    POOR RICHARDS REPORT

    CHAPTER 13

    LEAVE RATES ALONE

Right now, President Trump and Chair Powell are on a collision course and that could start a real worldwide depression.

It has nothing to do with the stock market because that is really a casino. It is the real economy that counts.

My solution(suggestion) is quite simple and direct.

Freeze interest rates and state that the Fed Funds Rate will remain constant for five years subject to renewal. (Fed Fund Rates are what the member bankers pay for their funds.)

The United States has a ton of debt that if interest rates rise the payment on the interest rates will be 100% of our current budget and become the largest expense way over our defense and entitlement programs. That will suck the economy into a worldwide depression whirlpool

If the Fed lowers rates it will destroy the middle classes of the world because they will have only the casino markets to gamble in and no safe haven like conservative local savings banks. That destroys local economies. This could cause large scale demonstrations that could also become riots.

There is now $13 TRILLION worth of Sovereign debt that has a negative yield. That is shocking. It means that conservative investors are so scared that they are paying countries to hold THEIR funds instead of countries paying them. These notes are usually the 10-year paper. This reduces the velocity of amounts of money which is deflationary.

This also allows the manipulators easy access for casino markets. JP Morgan loves this.

The positives for a constant rate of return:

    1. It will allow corporations real future financial expansion planning because they will have a constant expense for their debt when needed. This allows real solid growth for our economies.

    2. There is now a corporate junk bond rating debt that also has negative yields. Besides the zero-velocity of funds, there is a possibility of a major loss of principal in a serious recession/depression. This is exactly when governments want a free flow of funds for their citizens.

    3. The confidence level increases when the private investor knows and sees his funds at honest levels in a local bank without risk of principal.

    4. The private investor will spend and invest excess funds when he knows other funds a safe. This increases the velocity of money for a sound growing economy.

Mr. President, you will now have an additional problem worse than the impeachment scandal.

The manipulators will hold you hostage by threatening to “crash” the casino stock market just before elections in 2020. When the private investor has savings to depend upon and is at the mercy of these modern robber barons in 401k’s you could lose your voter base.

I have written before it is the private citizen that makes this country great. They vote, they buy and they sell. They can make or break a major political party or corporation.

The Financial Committees of the 63rd Congress was given the most important challenge to present to the Congress and the country a political fail-safe monetary law to protect the country and its economy and Citizens.

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 has lasted over 100 years with minor revisions. Now is the time to work WITH them.

    Cheerio !!!

  • Pres. Trump is About to Damage U.S. Interests Just to Please Erdogan

Pres. Trump is About to Damage U.S. Interests Just to Please Erdogan

    By Harut Sassounian
    Publisher, The California Courier
    www.TheCaliforniaCourier.com

Pres. Donald Trump is on the verge of making a serious mistake, jeopardizing the security of the United States and other NATO members if he decides not to sanction Turkey for purchasing Russian S-400 missiles which are incompatible with NATO military systems and expose the operational secrets of the latest F-35 U.S. air force jets.

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed three resolutions warning Turkey not to purchase the Russian missiles and has threatened to block the sale of F-35 jets to Turkey. In addition, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and national security officials have publicly announced that the United States will impose severe sanctions on Turkey for purchasing the Russian missiles. Pres. Trump, an indecisive man and fond of all dictators and particularly Turkey’s despotic President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan, is on the verge of ignoring all his top advisors and the majority of Congress, allowing Turkey to violate the U.S. sanctions law.

On June 29, 2019, when the leaders of G-20 countries met in Osaka, Japan, Pres. Erdogan had a final chance to convince Pres. Trump not to punish Turkey for the purchase of the Russian missiles.

Here are excerpts of the alarming statements Pres. Trump made during his meeting with Pres. Erdogan in the presence of journalists:

Pres. Trump: “… It’s my honor to be with a friend of mine, somebody I’ve become very close to, in many respects, and he’s doing a very good job: the President of Turkey. And we have a meeting largely to do with trade. We’re doing more and more business, and we expect to be able to quadruple that business with Turkey. We think it will be great. They’re great craftsmen. They have great product. And we’re opening it up. We also do military trading, and they buy a lot of our military equipment. And it’s an honor to be with you, Mr. President.”

Then pointing to Pres. Erdogan’s entourage in the room, Pres. Trump said: “And look at these people, how nice they are. Look at them. They’re so easy to deal with. Look at them. Central casting. There’s no Hollywood set where you could produce people that look like them.”

Pres. Erdogan responded: “Mr. President, first, I would like to express that it’s very meaningful for us to come together here at the Osaka Summit. And we are currently going towards fulfilling the goal of a $75 billion trade volume. And there are many steps that we need to take within the defense industry area, but, more importantly, we have a strategic partnership. And the strategic partnership also encourages us to create solidarity across many areas, and I have full belief that our solidarity will continue throughout the strategic partnership.”

After these introductory remarks, Pres. Trump responded to reporters’ questions:

Reporter: “Mr. President, what will you do about the S-400s? Is the U.S. going to have to impose sanctions if he takes possession?”

Pres. Trump: “Well, we’re discussing it. We have a complicated situation because the President was not allowed to buy the Patriot missiles. So when he bought the other ones — the S-200s or 400s — when he bought them, he wanted to do this, but he wasn’t allowed by the Obama administration to buy them until after he made a deal to buy other missiles. So he buys the other missile and then, all of a sudden, they say, ‘Well, you can now buy our missile.’ You don’t — you can’t do business that way. It’s not good. It’s not good.”

Reporter: “Does that mean is there way — so could you….”

Pres. Trump: “We’re looking at different solutions. It’s a problem, there’s no question about it. We’re looking at different solutions. But he was prohibited from buying until he said he bought something else. And then, as soon as he buys something else, everybody says, ‘Okay. You can buy it.’ You can’t do business that way. Turkey has been a friend of ours and they’ve done — we’ve done great things together. We’re a big trading partner. We’re going to be much bigger. I think the $75 billion is small. I think it’s going to be well over $100 billion soon. You can’t treat people that way, like the Obama administration did….”

Reporter: “Will the U.S. impose sanctions against Turkey on S-400 purchase?”

Pres. Trump: “We’re looking at it. But it’s a double — it’s a two-way street. They wouldn’t sell the President — they wouldn’t let him — they wouldn’t let him buy the missile that he wanted to buy, which is the Patriot. And then, after he buys from somebody else, he says ‘Now we’ll sell you the Patriot.’ So, I have to tell you, he’s a NATO member, he’s somebody that I have become friendly with. And you have to treat people fairly. You understand that. You have to treat people fairly. And I don’t think he was treated fairly. I don’t think he was treated fairly.”

Reporter: “The ball is in your court though now, Mr. President. Will you? You’re the one who makes the decision. Will impose the sanctions?”

Pres. Trump: “So we’ll see you at the hotel at 3:30….”

Reporter: “Mr. President, are you going to Turkey in July? Will you be going to Turkey in July, Mr. President? When are you going to Turkey?”

Pres. Trump: “I will, at some point, be going to Turkey. I’ve been invited, and I will be — I will be going to Turkey, yes.”

Reporter: “This year, Mr. President? Will you go to Turkey this year? Will you go in July?”

Pres. Trump: “We haven’t set a date.”

It is shocking that Pres. Trump is siding with the Turkish leader against former Pres. Obama, the U.S. Congress and his own national security officials. Secondly, it is a lie that Pres. Obama had refused to sell Turkey U.S. Patriot missiles. Turkey did not accept the terms of the sale.

Just like in many of his decisions, Pres. Trump seems to be putting his personal interests — several million dollars of income for having his name on two Trump buildings in Istanbul — ahead of U.S. national interests. Why would he repeatedly praise Erdogan, a dictator and a major human rights violator?

At the time of writing this article, the Russian missiles were already on their way to Turkey. What will be Pres. Trump’s final decision on sanctions? Will he damage NATO’s and U.S. national interests just to please Erdogan? If he does, I hope no Armenian-American or anyone else will vote for Trump in 2020!

  • Unbelievable but True: Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize!

Unbelievable but True: Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize!

    http://www.TheCaliforniaCourier.com

While Pres. Trump is visiting Japan this week, it is the appropriate time to comment about his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize by Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The nomination was announced by none other than Pres. Trump himself who boasted that Abe had given him “the most beautiful copy of a five-page letter that he sent to the people who give out a thing called the Nobel Prize.”

Japan’s Asahi newspaper reported that Pres. Trump had asked Shinzo Abe to nominate him. Abe refused to confirm the nomination, citing a Nobel Committee policy of not disclosing nominees for 50 years after prizes are awarded. When Abe was asked in Parliament if the report was accurate, he responded: “I am not saying it is not true.”

Two Norwegian lawmakers had already nominated Pres. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in June 2018. Interestingly, in February 2018, the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced that two Nobel Peace Prize nominations for Pres. Trump were forgeries. In addition, 18 Republican Members of Congress sent a joint letter to the Nobel Committee last year nominating Pres. Trump for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.

Japanese Prime Minister’s nomination of Pres. Trump created a major political stir with domestic opposition leaders protesting Shinzo Abe’s move. Junya Ogawa, a lawmaker representing the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, criticized Pres. Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris climate accord and the nuclear agreement with Iran, his decision to suspend the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, and his relocation of the American Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. These actions, Ogawa said, should make it “not possible to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize, and it’s shameful for Japan.”

The reason the Japanese Prime Minister nominated Pres. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize is that the leader of Japan had figured out that flattery is the best way to be on Pres. Trump’s good side. Apparently, playing countless rounds of golf together was not sufficient. Japan has three requests from Pres. Trump:

    1) To seek Pres. Trump’s help in arranging for the Japanese Prime Minister to meet with the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to discuss “unconditional” denuclearization. This is an important request for Japan as recent North Korean missiles have either fallen in or near Japanese territorial waters or have overflown the Japanese territory panicking the population.

    2) To dissuade Pres. Trump from his repeated threats to impose U.S. tariffs on Japanese imports, mostly cars, which would impact Japan’s economy and undermine Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s re-election.

    3) To get Pres. Trump’s assistance in negotiating the return of Japanese citizens who were abducted by North Korea between 1977 and 1982.

Nevertheless, Shinzo Abe’s nomination of Trump “was unexpected, given Trump’s aggressive ‘America first’ foreign policy and disdain for multilateral international cooperation. After U.S. talks with North Korea collapsed… a Nobel nod seemed wholly unwarranted,” according to the Washington Post.

While the Prime Minister of Japan may have good reasons for nominating Pres. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, the Nobel Committee has better reasons to reject the request in order not to dishonor its prestigious award by presenting it to such a charlatan, liar and cheater, both financially and morally. He has insulted other races and religions, abused minorities and immigrants, and refused to comply with U.S. laws and international treaties.

Just in case some may think that my antagonism to Pres. Trump’s nomination stems from partisanship, I need to remind readers that when Pres. Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 for “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people,” I wrote an editorial expressing my opposition to his award. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Pres. Obama within the first year of his presidency, way too soon to judge his accomplishments. Pres. Trump had criticized Pres. Obama for receiving the Nobel Peace Prize and some say that he wants the same award that Obama received out of jealousy. Pres. Trump was quoted saying: “They gave it to Obama. He didn’t even know what he got it for. He was there for about 15 seconds, and he got the Nobel Prize.” In addition to Obama, three other U.S. Presidents were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize: Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Jimmy Carter.

In Pres. Trump’s case, he has already served over two years as President, and it is clear that he does not deserve any kind of an award, let alone the Nobel Peace Prize. In fact, he does not even deserve to be President of the United States. With each passing day, the actions and statements of the self-declared “extremely stable genius” further antagonize more people both in the United States and around the world. As Lord Acton had wisely written: “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely!”

Not surprisingly, Pres. Trump continued his controversial behavior by sending a series of tweets during his first morning in Japan. In one of his tweets, Pres. Trump committed three errors or improprieties:

    1) He agreed with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un that the leading Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is “a low IQ individual,” violating the long-held principle of not speaking about domestic divisions while overseas;

    2) He misspelled Biden’s name as “Bidan”;

    3) He contradicted the statements of his own National Security Adviser John Bolton and Japan’s Prime Minister that North Korea’s recent missile launches are a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Finally, Pres. Trump admitted that he will probably never get the Nobel Peace Prize. For once, I agree with him!
