SERVER OUTAGE Our bandwidth provider is planning an outage for early Sunday morning December 15th. This outage is for routine maintanence on the DS3 backbones they provide for us. The outage time they plan is from 1:00 am to 7:00 am MST, although they assure us it actually shouldn't take more than 1 to 2 hours. Here is the original post from our provider: --------------------Begin Message---------------------------- It has come to our attention that several questions have arisen in regards to the scheduled outage that we are planning for the morning of Sunday December 15th. To clarify: 1. The Network will be scheduled down from 1:01 am through 7:00 am December 15th Mountain Standard Time. 2. The Actual Network "down time" is not expected to exceed 1.5 - 2 hours. The additional time is being allocated in the event that any unforeseen situations occur. 3. The Outage is a "maintenance window" within which we will be performing critical network enhancements. We are planning to perform a Hardware and Software Upgrade to the BackBone Network. The end result will be a more robust, better tuned transport medium within the Network as well as improved bandwidth allocation and performance. It is our intent to minimize our maintenance outages both in duration and number of incidents per year while continuing to provide the best networking services in the region. Thank you for understanding our need to perform routine services to your BackBone Network. --------------------- End of Message ----------------------- 2.
