TUTORIALS: 21 tutorials are planned for Sunday, July 26, 1997, preceding the Conference. Five of them are full-day long, 16 are half-day long. The authors represent 231 educational institutions and 105 non-educational organizations including industrial corporations, government agencies, consulting firms and research institutes. The papers cover a wide array of topics on every aspect of technology management. They will be presented in parallel sessions from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, July 28-31, 1997. For the affiliations of the authors please visit the PICMET homepage. PUBLICATIONS: Each participant will receive a conference proceedings and a CD-ROM. The papers will be published in the proceedings either in full-length or as extended summaries. All papers will also be included in the text-searchable CD-ROM. Both publications are being developed by IEEE. Sony Corporation will produce the CD-ROM. SOCIAL EVENTS: There will be a welcome reception on Sunday, a dinner reception at the Museum of Science and Industry on Monday, a banquet/dinner on Tuesday, and a tentative "night in the brewery" on Thursday. These are included in the registration fee. In addition, an optional dinner/cruise and optional jazz concert/barbecue will be available on Wednesday. Breakfasts and lunches are left open to give the attendees an opportunity to explore the various culinary delights in and around the hotel.
