Democrats spent four days trying to humanize<\/em><\/strong> Hillary.<\/p>\n Paint her not as the power-hungry, unpleasant, ambitious career politician<\/strong> that she is, but a caring<\/em> and dedicated<\/em> public service<\/strong> who has devoted her life to the betterment of others.<\/strong><\/p>\n Did you buy it?<\/p>\n No?<\/p>\n Because in all that boasting, they conveniently left out the $2 billion enterprise called the Clinton Foundation.<\/p>\n After all, this is their legacy, right? Hillary, Bill and Chelsea are intimately involved in the Foundation, from fundraising to speeches to global jet-setting. Wouldn\u2019t Hillary\u2019s single largest example of what a tireless, selfless public servant she is be highly promoted at the convention?<\/p>\n Maybe they didn\u2019t because the Clinton Foundation is mired in scandal. Whether it\u2019s taking money from nefarious regimes, to evidence of quid pro quo,<\/em> to an IRS investigation, the Clinton Foundation is probably the last thing<\/em><\/strong> Democrats want to talk about.<\/p>\n The New York Post<\/em> breaks down the baggage<\/em><\/strong> associated with the now-infamous \u201cfoundation\u201d:<\/p>\n Starting with the FBI\u2019s investigation into whether any \u201cintersection\u201d between the foundation and the work of Secretary of State Clinton violated anti-corruption laws.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Like her role in handing Russia exclusive mining rights to 20 percent of US uranium reservesvia a company that donated millions to the foundation. (You thought Donald Trump was Vladimir Putin\u2019s best friend?)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Or the tens of millions donated by the same Middle Eastern nations \u2014 Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait \u2014 that Hillary has publicly denounced for supporting terrorism (not to mention criminalizing gay sex).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n And the Clintons certainly didn\u2019t want to remind voters that the foundation had to amend four years of tax filings to finally come clean about $20 million in foreign donations it took during Hillary\u2019s tenure.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n When you\u2019re trying to present yourself as the paragon of selfless virtue, hanging the yoke of a sketchy $2 billion \u201cfoundation\u201d with your name on is probably not the example you want to use.<\/p>\n So don\u2019t expect the Clintons, the Democrats, or her lackeys to mention the Clinton Foundation much during this campaign<\/strong>.<\/p>\n You can, however, expect Mr. Trump to do so.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Robert Gehl Democrats spent four days trying to humanize Hillary.
