“ANUVRAT AHIMSA AWARD FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE-2023”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subject:\u00a0<\/em>Bircan \u00dcnver<\/strong>\u00a0received the\u00a0<\/em>“Anuvrat Ahimsa Award for International Peace-2023”<\/strong>\u00a0in Mumbai, India on January 30, 2024.

Founder of the\u00a0Republic Of T\u00fcrkiye,\u00a0Mustafa Kemal\u00a0Atat\u00fcrk<\/strong>\u00a0(1981-1938), not only envisioned but worked extremely hard to invest in and build up toward, “Peace at Home, Peace in the World<\/strong>“, in particular, followed by the formation of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye on October 29, 2023.

In spirit<\/em>, as one of the grand-daughters of Atat\u00fcrk, I am greatly honored and excited to receive the\u00a0Anuvrat Ahimsa Award\u00a0for\u00a0International Peace-2023<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0Anuvrat Vishva Bharati Society<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Mumbai,\u00a0India\u00a0on January 30, 2024.

I have been committed to working towards seeding\u00a0peace,\u00a0nonviolent, and\u00a0seeking the truth\u00a0over decades as a self-mission, along with through the works of the Light Millennium Global Organization\u00a0(introduced on the web in August 1999<\/em>) for nearly a quarter century.

This effort has intersected our paths with\u00a0Dr. Sohan Lal Gandhi<\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0Anuvrat Global Organization<\/strong>\u00a0through the\u00a0#UNDGC\u00a0(formerly<\/em>\u00a0UN Department of Information UN.DPI\/NGO) at the\u00a0United\u00a0Nations since both organizations were already associated with the UN.DPI\/NGO in 2007.

Consequently, I participated as a keynote speaker in the\u00a07th ICPNA – International Conference on Peace and Nonviolent Action,\u00a0<\/strong>which was dedicated to the “Non-Violent Lifestyle” theme in\u00a0Jaipur, India\u00a0in 2008, then it followed in 2014 and 2019 in Delhi. In this line, the upcoming\u00a011th ICPNA<\/strong>‘s theme is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Only Nonviolence Can Guarantee World Peace and Environmental Sustainability”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 11th ICPNA will be presented virtually on\u00a0February 13-26, 2024.<\/strong>

Over the years, we have been collaborating with the Anuvrat Global Organization on various concepts such as\u00a0#NonViolentLifeStyle,\u00a0#Gandhi149, #Gandhi150,\u00a0#GandhiAndEnvironment (on several occasions<\/em>), and\u00a0#UNCivilSociety\u00a0conference-related programs.
In particular, after working on several Gandhi and nonviolent related programs, which inspired me to visit Gandhi Museums in India.

Consequently, I have visited two Gandhi Museums in Delhi (in 2019), Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad (in 2019 & 2024); Gandhi Home Museum in Mumbai (2024).\u00a0All these further inspired me to continue working on the “Nonviolent<\/em>” and “Seeking the Truth<\/em>” concepts. As\u00a0Mahatma Gandhi<\/strong>\u00a0(1869-1948) powerfully stated the following:\u00a0“Truth is God<\/em>“<\/strong>, and in His\u00a011\u00a0<\/strong>principles and “Life of Tree”,\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0“Nonviolent” & “Truth”\u00a0<\/strong>are at the core. In this background,<\/em>\u00a0I am grateful to\u00a0Dr. S.L. Gandhi<\/strong>, who nominated and made sure to present this award to me in the presence of\u00a0H.H. Acharya Mahashraman\u00a0<\/strong>before I left Mumbai on Jan. 30, 2024.

Indeed, it was a great honor, excitement, and surprise to receive the Anuvrat’s 2023 International Peace Award, which has enormously motivated me to continue working in this line toward expanding our reach and engaging with as many organizations and people collaboratively as we can\u00a0from all walks of life.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite all the scheduling challenges, the Director of the\u00a0Children Peace Palace<\/em>,\u00a0Mr. Sanchay Jain<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Rajsamand, Udaipur, the President of the Anuvrat,\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Avinash Nahar,<\/strong>\u00a0General Secretary\u00a0Mr. Bhikam Surana,<\/strong>\u00a0along with the Anuvrat’s volunteer\u00a0Mr. Deepak Jain<\/strong>,\u00a0all together<\/em>\u00a0as a joint collaborative effort, they made it possible.

To that extent<\/em>, I would like to acknowledge\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Arvind Vora,<\/strong>\u00a0who is the key contact of the Anuvrat Global Organization at the United Nations based in\u00a0New York, and co-founder of the\u00a0Shanti Fund.

This was an unexpected, further empowering, and utmost symbolizing finale of my trip to\u00a0India, along with many other honorable recognitions and exciting programs, which was started on the 3rd of Jan. 2024, and concluded by the 1st of Feb. 2024.

Once again, \u00a0I would like to thank wholeheartedly\u00a0Dr. S.L. Gandhi<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0the Anuvrat Vishva Bharati Society<\/strong>, along withall who made it possible.
