But you can\u00a0<strong>join us in working for real reform in Turkey<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Amnesty has noted that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The most negative development in recent years has been the increasingly<strong>arbitrary use of anti-terrorism laws to prosecute legitimate activities<\/strong>\u00a0including political speeches, critical writing, attendance of demonstrations and association with\u00a0recognized\u00a0political groups and organizations \u2013 in violation of the rights to freedom of expression, association and assembly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In Turkey, famous artists, like\u00a0Faz\u0131l Say\u00a0and\u00a0elderly grandmothers, like\u00a0Sultani Ac\u0131buca, must equally watch what they say for fear of state prosecution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Time is now!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Turkish government is currently considering a set of judicial reforms that it says will address these issues, but the truth is that the\u00a0<strong>reforms currently envisioned are insufficient<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It is vital that we take action now<\/strong>\u00a0to push the Turkish government to make the real reforms necessary to end its criminalization of dissent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take action!
