Bosnia-Herzegovina Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumd\u017eija and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu discussed elections in Mostar and Srebrenica and Bosnia-Herzegovina\u2019s membership in international institutions.<\/p>\n
When it comes to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s membership in NATO, Dodik said that the RS would decide on the issue in a referendum.<\/p>\n
He noted that Davutoglu was willing to talk exclusively about Bosniak or Muslim interests.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I went to Turkey and talked about the Kurds and their problems in Turkey and demanded that their election procedures be changed, it would be the same,\u201d Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact that Turkey thinks it is good for Bosnia-Herzegovina to be a member of NATO is the opinion of that country, but it must heed the positions in Bosnia-Herzegovina, including the RS,\u201d the RS president pointed out.<\/p>\n
Turkey has shown that it is ready to support only what Bosniaks want, not the authentic position of BiH, he said.<\/p>\n
Dodik said that in joining NATO, one should also bear in mind Serbia’s position on this issue.<\/p>\n
\u201cMembership in NATO brings certain benefits, but the Serbs were bombed, in some places with depleted uranium, which demonstrated the attitude of member countries of NATO towards the Serbs in this region,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
