Once the apology had been issued, and accepted by Turkey, both countries would have had a platform for the restoration of normal relations,\u201d Straw wrote in a commentary for the H\u00fcrriyet Daily News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead, relations have deteriorated, from tepid, then to cold, and now to freezing\u2026 Israel has only itself to blame,\u201d he wrote.
