{"id":2334,"date":"2008-08-09T16:14:02","date_gmt":"2008-08-09T13:14:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/?p=2334"},"modified":"2014-01-01T20:04:16","modified_gmt":"2014-01-01T18:04:16","slug":"turkey-estonia-latvia-lithuania-friendship-association-tellfa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/2008\/08\/09\/turkey-estonia-latvia-lithuania-friendship-association-tellfa\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey Estonia Latvia Lithuania Friendship Association -TELLFA-"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><strong>[English]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Turkey   Estonia Latvia Lithuania Friendship Association -TELLFA- has been established initially under the name of Turkish \u2013 Estonian Friendship Association in April\/2004.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">After quite intensive activities being arranged between Turkey and Estonia, several meetings were held with Estonian and Lithuanian Ambassadors in Ankara and Honorary Latvian Consul General   in Istanbul to present the activities and to take their valuable comments.During these meetings and discussions a strong encouragement was encountered to   widen the activities covering Latvia and Lithuania too.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Right after the board confirmation, the Association&#8217;s name has been changed to Turkey Estonia Latvia Lithuania Friendship Association -TELLFA- by March 2005.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The purpose of this association is to create circumstances for the formation of social, economical, intercultural and educational exchanges between all levels of the society from individual persons to corporate bodies. TELLFA not only aims to strengthen the already existing relationships but also wishes to create an atmosphere of trust, support, cooperation and friendship between the public of the member countries.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">By introducing Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to Turkish citizens, and in return introducing Turkish culture and values, life styles to the citizens of these countries, TELLFA will be a leading step to bringing the cultures together, organizing cultural exchange programs, student exchange programs between educational entities. The association will be ready to help as an advisory body to those who are interested in trade possibilities among the member countries.<\/p>\n<div>In the light of these purposes, the executive committee of TELLFA is in constant communication with the Embassies, Universities, Non Govermantal Organizations, Chamber of Commerces, Artists, Media Representatives and consults these bodies often to be able to provide a better service to those who are seeking advice.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>[Turkish]<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"style4\" align=\"justify\">T\u00fcrkiye Estonya Letonya Litvanya Dostluk Derne\u011fi 2004 y\u0131l\u0131nda kurulmu\u015ftur.
