\nThis videotape shows Russian Navy commandos on a Somalian
\npirate ship shortly after the pirates had captured a Russian
\noil tanker. The Euro-Union navy that patrols these waters
\nwould not interfere because they feared there could be
\ncasualties.<\/p>\n

All explanations are in Russian with a single exception of
\nwhen a wounded pirate says something in English. All
\nconversations between the commandos are in Russian. If you
\ndon’t understand Russian, the pictures speak for themselves.<\/p>\n

The soldiers freed their compatriots, moved all the pirates
\nto their own (pirate) ship, searched the pirate ship for
\nweapons and explosives, and then they left the ship and
\nexploded it with all remaining pirates on it.<\/p>\n

The commandos sunk the pirate ship along with the pirates
\nand without any court proceedings, lawyers etc. That is, they <\/span><\/div>\n

used the anti-piracy laws of the 18th and 19th\u00a0centuries <\/span>where <\/span><\/div>\n
the captain of the rescuing ship has the\u00a0right to decide what to<\/span><\/div>\n
do with the pirates.\u00a0\u00a0Usually, they were hanged.<\/p>\n

Russian ships will not now be targets for Somalian pirates.<\/p>\n

Good on the Russians.
\nNo mucking about or tip-toeing over the Tulips here etc.
\nThese pirates have no sympathy towards the ships and their crew
\n(just look at their weapons they carry), it’s tit-for-tat, the\u00a0only way they know.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for them, they lost.<\/p>\n
