Only for the last 3 years the\nUSAID has introduced a number of agriculture projects for the country\u2019s\nfarmers, has launched campaigns aimed at fighting Tuberculosis along with other\nprojects involving funding of local prospective journalists, students,\nbusinessmen and entrepreneurs. According to the Agency, USAID investment strategy\nin Tajikistan involves large-scale and ambitious projects for the next 3-4\nyears that aim to increase the living standard in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even though the US impact and investments in Tajikistan\u2019s economy cannot\nbe underestimated, the history has assured that nothing is free and there is\nsome certain price for every good that\u2019s been done. Tajikistan, a small country\nin the Central Asia with poor economy but strong authoritative political system,\ncould become a perfect potential target for US so-called democratization policy.\nPositive social and economic changes integrated by the United States in Tajikistan\nare building up a solid ground for lobbying Washington political ambitions in\nthe country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"732\" height=\"488\" src=\"https:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/TJ_0689-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-179285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/TJ_0689-3.jpg 732w, https:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/TJ_0689-3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 732px) 100vw, 732px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fostering the pro-Western values in young people\u2019s minds may undermine\nthe country\u2019s economy and political system in the future \u2013 the world has seen\nthe US hand in attempting the coup of Venezuela, Ukraine and Turkey. And once\nthe economic and trade compass of a US \u201cally\u201d country contradicts to the US course,\nthe result could be a trade war, as it was a case for China. For Tajikistan, \u0430 landlocked country with the agriculture-based economy\nsuch consequences may be far more than tragic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/TJ-750-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-179286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/TJ-750-1.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.turkishnews.com\/en\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/TJ-750-1-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The friendship of Tajikistan\u2019s political elite with the United States has quite a thin basis\u2013 the historic, cultural, social and economic paths of the countries have little in common. By infusing money in Tajikistan\u2019s economy, business and social projects the United States would likely start strengthening its political system by proposing candidates loyal to Washington. Given the upcoming elections in Tajikistan in 2020 and the 30<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the Republic next year, the US political ambitions in the country are quite clear. Once and if they are met the USAID projects and investments may wind down and the entire political system of the country might burst in quite a natural way.
