The International Research Consortium on \u201cDynamics in the History of Religions between Asia and Europe\u201d at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, invites applications for Fellowships for Research in Basic Religious Notions in Islam during the academic year April 2010 to March 2011.<\/p>\n
What we can offer:\u00b7 Time and space for research in an interdisciplinary environment; \u00b7 up to 70,000 \u20ac (gross rate) either as a grant or as a salary for the fellow\u2019s substitute at his or her home institution; \u00b7 good infrastructure (libraries etc.); \u00b7 free lodging in a single apartment; \u00b7 travel expenses related to research activities; \u00b7 means for organizing congresses or workshops.<\/p>\n
What we would expect: \u00b7 Research on basic religious notions in Islam \u2013 with special regard to inter-religious contact; \u00b7 your presence during the fellowship term; \u00b7 committed participation in the consortium’s activities; \u00b7 substantial research results in form of publications.<\/p>\n
Applicant must at least hold a PhD. Interested applicants should send a letter of interest, a current CV including a list of publications, and an expos\u00e9 of the intended research of about 5-10 pages. Application materials can be submitted by mail or e-mail.<\/p>\n
