Countless Greek policyholders were among  the hundreds of\u00a0thousands of\u00a0Greeks who perished in\u00a0the first Genocide of\u00a0the  twentieth century. In\u00a0the ensuing chaos, many of\u00a0the rightful heirs were unable  to\u00a0produce the documentation required to\u00a0claim the insurance proceeds while  others were unaware that they were entitled to\u00a0any insurance benefits. In\u00a02004,  a\u00a0class action settlement of\u00a0$20\u00a0million which involved 2,300\u00a0Armenian New York  Life policyholders with unpaid claims was awarded to\u00a0the descendents of\u00a0the  victims massacred in\u00a0the Armenian Genocide of\u00a01915,&#8221; Geragos &amp; Geragos noted  in\u00a0the special webpage launched for this purpose.<\/p>\n<p>This is\u00a0not the first campaign launched by\u00a0the US\u00a0Armenian community  to\u00a0damage Turkey&#8221;s\u00a0image.
