According to Jerusalem Post a post published in the IDF official twitter page reported a \u201cPossible nuclear leak in the region after 2 rockets hit Dimona nuclear facility\u201d. The tweet was removed after a few minutes and instead said \u201clong live Palestine\u201d. IDF said the incident is investigated.<\/h4>\n

Shortly after the post it was removed and a new tweet said #Longlive Palestine. IDF spokesperson said the matter is \u201cunder investigation\u201d and minutes later another tweet was published: \u201cwe apologize for the false tweet on our hacked twitter account. We will combat terror on all front, including the cyber one.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is not the first time an embarrassment is caused to IDF following a tweet. About a month ago it said on IDF\u2019s twitter page that \u201cIsraeli soldiers left Lebanon over 14 years ago. In the meantime, Hezbollah terrorists have remained with over 100,000 missiles aimed at Israel.\u201d the picture featured in the tweet displayed North Korean missiles.<\/p>\n

The missiles are SCUD B and C and are displayed in a military memorial in commemoration of the Korean War.<\/p>\n

The internet blog criticized the IDF for operating indiscriminately in its recent budget crisis. \u201cThe IDF\u2019s franchise is fighting over its clients budget, and they are using every weapon in their arsenal\u201d they wrote, tongue in cheek, \u201cand if they don\u2019t succeed in frightening us by threatening to cancel all military exercises, brining the IDF preparedness to subpar levels seen before the Second Lebanon War, then perhaps they will succeed in scaring us with North Korean missiles.\u201d<\/p>\n

The IDF\u2019s spokespersons\u2019 unit replied that \u201cthe photograph was meant as an illustration that does not take away from the real threat of recent Hezbollah\u2019s armament.
