Als Ort des Kulturaustausches zwischen Deutschland und der T\u00fcrkei geplant, wurde die Akademie 2009 vom Bundestag als deutscher Beitrag zur Kulturhauptstadt Istanbul beschlossen, dann aber nach der Bundestagswahl vom FDP-gef\u00fchrten Au\u00dfenministerium wieder auf Eis gelegt.<\/p>\n<p>Nach scharfen Protesten aller im Bundestag vertretenen Parteien und aus Istanbul kam jetzt die Kehrtwende.
